The Biden Administration Details Plan To “Quickly” Vaccinate 28 Million Children!!!
The Biden administration announced its proposal to vaccinate around 28 million children aged 5 to 11 years old 'soon,' pending approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The vaccine, which does not prevent Covid-19 transmission, will be available at pediatricians' offices, local pharmacies, and possibly even schools, according to the White House. The FDA is expected to approve the Pfizer vaccine for children, who are the least likely to become seriously ill or die from the virus, in a matter of weeks, according to the Associated Press.
According to the announcement, the White House has secured enough vaccines to provide more than 25,000 doses to pediatricians and primary care physicians who have already signed up to deliver the vaccine, and the country now has enough Pfizer vaccine to vaccinate roughly 28 million children who will be eligible soon, indicating that this will not be a slow roll-out like we saw 10 months ago when doses and capacity issues forced adults to wait.
In the meantime, the White House is launching a "advertising" effort to persuade parents and children that the vaccine is both safe and effective. "The government believes trusted messengers, educators, doctors, and community leaders will be critical to encouraging immunizations," according to the study.
"COVID has also caused havoc in our children's life." In a statement to NBC on Wednesday, surgeon general Dr. Vivek Murthy said, "It's made school harder, it's disturbed their ability to visit friends and family, and it's made youth sports more problematic." "By getting our kids vaccinated, we can safeguard them while also regaining access to all of the activities that are so vital to them."
The administration, according to Murthy, is delegating the issue of mandates to school, municipal, and state officials.
"When it comes to educational requirements, they are decisions made by communities and states," Murthy explained. “You've probably seen some communities and states discuss immunization requirements for children. And I believe it is appropriate to consider increasing vaccination rates. It's also in line with what we've done with other childhood immunizations, such as measles, mumps, and polio."
The US government has ordered 65 million doses of Pfizer's pediatric vaccine, which is projected to have one-third of the adult and adolescent dosage. The FDA's independent advisory group will meet on October 26 to discuss whether the Pfizer shot should be approved for youngsters aged 5 to 11.
To top it off, even once the vaccine is approved for children, CDC Chief Rochelle Walensky said her agency would continue to urge that children wear masks in school.
