We Must Stop Facebook From Meddling With Our Elections!!!

You most likely recall where you were on November 8, 2016. And you undoubtedly recall what you witnessed that evening, the American political establishment imploding in real time.

We saw Wolf Blitzer and John King anxiously circling counties where Hillary Clinton could, just perhaps, be able to scrape out enough votes to win. We witnessed sobbing journalists and producers, unable to comprehend what had just occurred. And we witnessed Donald Trump, the new president-elect, deliver an incredible victory speech. What we didn't see was the behind-the-scenes network of Democrat operatives, legislators, nonprofit leaders, and tech millionaires vowing to never do it again.

Let's fast forward four years to the presidential election of 2020. We were told that the never ending pandemic required states to modify or disregard election regulations. As hundreds of millions of blank ballots were mailed out, many to those who had not requested them, Election Day became election season.

Shortly after the media networks pronounced Biden the victor, journalist Molly Ball boasted in Time about how business and nonprofit elites collaborated to deny Donald Trump another four years (dubbed "fortifying the election"). Google, Twitter, and Facebook all suppressed explosive articles about Hunter Biden's financial contacts with the Chinese Communist Party only weeks before the election. Given the close official margins in key swing states, technological manipulation alone is likely to have influenced the election's outcome.

All of this, however, pales in contrast to Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, who spent a half-billion dollars to buy Joe Biden the presidency.

The New York Post revealed last week that Zuckerberg had given more than $420 million to help "oversee the elections" across the United States. According to the official narrative, this was a nonpartisan act of kindness, an urgent and neutral greasing of democracy's gears.

However, economist William Doyle has shown that the funds were spent in highly politicized ways. Safe states received less money from Zuckerberg than swing states. On both an absolute and per-capita basis, Democratic districts received more than other districts. Election officials in Democratic-leaning Green Bay, Wisconsin, saw their money increase to $47 per voter thanks to Zuckerberg, but most rural areas had about $4 per voter.

Similar differences were seen in other major cities in battleground states. Election officials in Milwaukee provided operatives from the Zuckerberg organizations with a running scorecard of who had failed to return mail-in votes, allowing them to focus on raising "nonpartisan voter turnout." In many ways, this election was controlled by political activists who were solely accountable to the world's most powerful tech CEO, rather than by local authorities who were accountable to the people.

If Zuckerberg was only concerned with assisting local election boards in conducting a fair election, he would have given equally to battleground and non-battleground states. If he cared about neutrality, he would have given the same amount to Republican and Democrat leaning areas. He, on the other hand, did not.

And his multimillion dollar vote buying operation reflects badly not only on Zuckerberg but also on the firm he leads. What did his coworkers know about him? Why didn't they try to stop the spending spree if they were aware of it? Facebook was used to elect a Democratic president, both as a product and as a source of profit for its executives. At the very least, the company's executives should be made to testify in front of a congressional committee.

President Trump is correct in focusing on the events of 2020 we must prevent Zuckerberg (and anybody else) from sponsoring election administration privately. Partisan parties posing as "charities" shouldn't be able to influence our electoral process. Election audits should be conducted on a regular basis, and attorney generals should look into how these Zuckerberg-funded groups manipulated our election. Criminal charges must be filed when necessary.

It isn't going to be simple. Suggestions that anything went wrong in the 2020 election are met with hostility from our country's institutional power centers. You'll be labeled a conspiracy theorist by the media. Officials will accuse you of encouraging "insurgency." Your voice will be censored by social media behemoths.

However, telling the truth is the only way to fight back against the individuals who rule our country. And the basic reality is that our oligarchs utilized their power and money to try everything they could to rig the election in 2020.
