Illegal Aliens Do Not Need Proof of Vaccination Because ‘Not Intending to Stay'

The White House admitted on Monday that border crossers would not be required to show proof of vaccination, despite the fact that the government requires proof of vaccination or a negative coronavirus test for all other travelers entering the country.

When questioned by reporters about the apparent double standard on vaccination requirements, White House press secretary Jen Psaki argued that illegal immigrants and migrants crossing the border had no intention of staying in the US.

“They’re not intending to stay here for a lengthy period of time,” she said, referring to migrants. “I don’t think it’s the same thing. It’s not the same thing.”

As they seek entry to the United States, nearly 15,000 immigrants, mostly from Haiti, have set up a makeshift camp beneath the Del Rio International Bridge on the Texas-Mexico border.

On September 10, Psaki admitted that under the Biden administration's vaccine mandates, there was a double standard for migrants crossing the border and American citizens working for private businesses with more than 100 employees.

“That is correct,” she said when a reporter pointed it out.

Psaki recited her prepared talking points about the coronavirus process for migrants crossing the border and “the intention” to quarantine those who show signs of the virus.

According to reports, about 30% of migrants held in detention facilities have refused vaccines.

She claimed that the US continued to use Title 42 authorities to deport some of the Haitian migrants who had crossed the border into Texas.

“We want to prevent a scenario where large numbers of people are gathering, posing a threat to the community and also the migrants themselves,” Psaki said.
