Republicans See CRT As A Way To Win Big With Suburban Voters!
According to data by the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and Chairman Rick Scott, Senate Republicans regard education and the debate over Critical Race Theory (CRT) as key topics in the 2022 midterm elections.
A study of 1,200 potential suburban voters conducted by the NRSC in 192 suburban counties across 37 states, CRT in education is a winning theme for Republicans heading into the 2022 midterm elections.
The study found that suburban voters believe American public schools are failing students who are falling behind their peers internationally, that they largely oppose CRT in schools, even though Democratic figures continue to defend CRT or claim it is not taught in K-12 schools, and that they overwhelmingly believe biological males should be barred from participating in high school and college women's sports.
Scott told the Daily Caller News Foundation, "Democrats are failing American parents and students." "They lie about teaching Critical Race Theory in schools all the time in the hopes that parents will believe them."
"However, parents are aware that CRT is taught in schools and are voicing out," Scott said. "No amount of Democrat lies will erase the fact that Americans strongly oppose CRT in schools. Republicans will always put parents first, while Democrats put the teachers unions that fund their campaigns first."
According to the poll, a majority of suburban voters in battleground areas agreed that CRT should not be used in schools because children should not be told they are fundamentally prejudiced because of their skin color. Independents, Republicans, males, ladies, and "suburban targets" all overwhelmingly agreed with the notion that CRT should not be taught when divided into categories.
Despite the fact that CRT believes America is inherently racist, it educates people to consider race in every social interaction and person. Its followers seek "antiracism" by rejecting merit, objective reality, and enacting race-based policy.
According to major findings from the NRSC survey, "although independent suburbanites align themselves with Republicans on this subject, nearly two out of every three Democrats say they want this extreme philosophy taught to students, demonstrating Democrats' out of touch with parents' concerns."
Only 15% of those polled disagreed that the American public school system is failing and that pupils are slipping behind the rest of the world.
When asked whether they agreed or disagreed with the statement that biological males should not compete against women in high school and college sports because it is "hugely unfair and will erase many of the gains women have made in athletics over the last 30 years," 65 percent agreed and 24 percent disagreed.
The majority of respondents in every group polled agreed with the statement about transgender athletes, including "suburban targets," guys, females, Republicans, and even Democrats.
"While Democrats continue to pursue this policy, Americans across the ideological spectrum regard it as unjust, undoing much of the accomplishments women's sports have achieved in America," according to the report.
Parents perceive Democrats as rejecting or sidelining their concerns since many Democrats have either backed CRT or stated that it is not taught in K-12 schools.
"On a political level, it's a serious threat that's allowing Republicans to claw back the advances that Democrats have made in the suburbs over the previous couple of election cycles," said Jim Manley, a former Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid's adviser.
In an interview with local station WMUR on Nov. 14, New Hampshire Senator Maggie Hassan hesitated to say whether CRT should be taught in schools. Instead, she stated "divisiveness" and "over-the-top conduct" are her "greatest concerns."
On Nov. 8, Scott appeared on CNN's "New Day" with co-host Brianna Keilar, who questioned about the GOP's "playbook" for the 2022 midterm elections.
"We'll see, just like Terry McAuliffe wants to pretend there's nothing about Critical Race Theory in Virginia," Scott predicted. "We know it's true," says the narrator. Parents in Virginia are aware that their children are being indoctrinated with Critical Race Theory, but Democrats wish to deny it. As a result, parents showed there because they don't like it when their children are lied to."
"Just to be clear," Keilar said, "it's not in the Virginia curriculum."
The NRSC poll was conducted between September 27 and September 30, 2021, with a margin of error of 2.82 percent.
